The Ukranian artist Alina Kashitsyna explores the boundaries between architectural planning and visual art. Her geometric abstractions on canvas resemble floor plan drawings. She examines the way human beings perceive space and how they are able to organize it on a two-dimensional scale. “Integration” is a series of acrylic on canvas works. Thin white stripes create fractions of different dimensions, colored in blue or white. Squares, rectangles and other geometrical shapes indicate hypothetical rooms and habitation areas.
