What a wonderful surprise to see so many of you at our social and artistic event, the Scandinavian Meeting Point, at Galleri Heike Arndt DK Berlin on this 1st of May, 2024! 😊 But above all, A BIG THANK YOU for your presence. It's always such a delight to welcome so many different cultures. It reminds us of the true purpose of the gallery: bringing people together through art and simple exchanges with others like you, seeking a place to feel at home. 🎨
Thank you to all of you, dear participants, for making this gathering so fun. And a big thank you to our team for their dedication and enthusiasm in discovering your creative spirits. 👏
Don't forget to mark the date for the next Scandinavian Meeting Point, which will take place on June 5th for the opening of our new exhibition, "Fresh Legs". We can't wait to see you there! 🗓️
Stefan Friedemann’s drypoint engravings offer vintage-inspired depictions of interpersonal relationships and current issues. Clear lines and shading emphasise the characters’ day-to-day melancholy.Subtle, smooth shading defines their shapes, emphasising the absence of happiness. The recurring empty background represents the emotional disconnection amongst the depicted characters. In an era marked by modern individualism and the prevalence of social media, we often sacrifice genuine interpersonal connections for superficial relationships, fearing true commitment.
