About the artist
In his minimalistic prints, Scott Fisk recurs to antique wood blocks and letterpress technique to achieve their faded effect. The result is a playful use of color through layering that resembles a subtractive light effect, creating new color values. Reminiscing the design of the mid-20th century prints, these graphics are inspired by simple geometric shapes. The viewer is captivated to explore the chromatic design enhanced by the presence of the wood texture.
