About the artist
Frans Kannik was originally trained in graphic printing. As an artist, he was self-taught and wide-ranging. He chose to express himself through painting, graphic art, installation art, performance art and sculpting. The fact that Frans Kannik actually included sculpting as a creative element might be difficult for the posterity to grasp. He has made several figures out of plastic, plaster, cement, and foam rubber, among others. However, all the material from his installations were destroyed as the exhibitions ended.
