About the artist:
Born in Bangladesh and based in France, Xecon Uddin mainly works with graphic prints and experiments with other media such as photography. In his artworks he explores memories, dreams and identity. In Jardin de la Mer (meaning ‘Garden of the Sea’) Uddin presents a series created using etching and aquatint that depict marine creatures. The artist produces colourful prints that, depending on the combination of techniques, appear vibrant and delicate. The subjects, depicted against a white background, float and appeal to the viewer with their refined aesthetic.
