The Italian artist Giulia Seri creates watercolors, pastels and coffee stains portraits of people who appear frail and delicate. They stare inquisitively at the viewer, exposing their fragility and their emotions. The human shape is not realistically defined. It is sharp-edged, the eyes exaggerated, the proportions not respected. Nevertheless, the spectators are captured by the ethereal atmosphere and by the mysterious look of the characters, who stand alone on the paper.
