German artist Cristina Stark’s works are all bound by a common thread: signs and characters, considered both as semantic and visual elements. Her artistic production focuses on conversation and poetry, where words are above all celebrated for their cognitive role; but sometimes these are deprived of their grammatical and semantic aspect, converting them into mere visual signs. To achieve this, she uses the technique of collage, often brought to surprising possibilities.
