“Flaneur VI”, Nubia Ozzi (AR)⎢MI19/183/1,

Nubia Ozzi is an Argentinian artist. Using the drypoint and additives technique, she focuses mainly on figurative art. In her prints, she represents city scenes. Her works show urban dwellers in the midst of building’s facades, reminding us of our own city life. The buildings are detailed and larger than the bystanders, dominating them. The subjects also seem focused and busy, which gives us an insight into our own daily life.

Working with a wide variety of mediums, ranging from drawing to painting or printmaking , and even sculpture, with various artists, she focuses mainly on figurative art. The works shown in our Mini Maxi 2019 exhibition are sewn together, representing her use of a wide range of media.

In her prints she “explores many aspects of contemporary human bonds, their fragility, as well as the ways [her] generation relates. In this series of works [she] also inquire about the urban space and its architecture. Surrounded by geometric buildings the characters meet each other or they simply wander between glass structures to cease belonging to the everyday world, immersed in their mental constellations” (Ozzi, 2019).
