Levasseur’s acrylic paintings captivate our attention with bright colors. The depicted figures are modeled and simplified in the style of comic, street art and children’s drawing, coupled with handwritten texts. These expose short messages, statements that are open to interpretation, encourage the observer to reconsider personal perspectives on society and the economy. The black-and-white image, which themed the legendary criminal couple Bonnie and Clyde, is stylistically more influenced by the 1920s.
